Thank you for visiting background voices.
Up above you see a face carved in stone. It is presumed to be the
art work of a Whittlesey (sometimes called Erie) Indian in Lake
County, Ohio. These Native Americans never contacted any person
from any European civilization. They lived in small tribes in regions
surrounding Lake Erie. They were, as far as we know, simple
independent hunters and gatherers who lived in small tribes on high
bluffs above the river valleys.
When frightened or threatened, they were known to become quite
vicious in their cunning self defense and probably their excessive
vengeance. Sound familiar? Yes, they were humans like you and I.
Around the time the Pilgrims arrived (roughly 1620), the Iroquois
Nation decided to eradicate these people, which means they killed
the men, raped the women, enslaved the children, and scared the
hell out of anyone else who was left. In our culture, we call that war.
They did a thorough job because the Community simply vanished.
In the year 2006, I opened up an old manuscript which I had written
over several years and began transforming it into a novel. In April of
2008, I published it in the manner of the great creative poets, that is,
self published. The Ancient Indians were always on my mind
because their world ended, and sometimes, I felt ours was ending
too..
At this Site, the curious reader will find Concepts used in my
Novel "Faces" and my book of poems "Delicate Miracles" .
Ideas found here permeate the writings of popular Cosmological
authors like Hawking, Weinberg, Schroeder, Depak Chopra, and
many others. I give these ideas a peculiar spin of my own.
Also APOD, the NASA Astronomical Website has provided me
with solid evidence, through facts and photos, demonstrating
that in so far as Outer Space is concerned, we all live in a new and
exciting era.
All this comes together in something known today as
The Fine Tuned Universe.
